litres per capita per day. The BoD and suspended solids are each of 300 mg/l.
Permissible organic loading for the pond is not less than
500 kg/ha/ day.
The detention period is not to exceed 6
days. Assume width of the pond to its length as 1:2 and the
operational depth as 1.2 m.
