How much work does a mother do if she lifts each of her twin babies upward 1.0 m? Each baby weighs 90 N.

Answer :

W = F x d
W = 90 x 1
Work done is 90 Nm
Work = distance * force
Work = 1.0 * 90
Work = 90 Nm (Newton-meters) or 90 J (Joules)

For both twins at once, it's 2*90 = 180 J. Hope this helps! :)
